System Performance

The system has been designed to meet the following rate capabilities:

  • Total Linear Feet ranges from 1,000LF to 1,400LF in 9 ½ hour shift. Total Linear Footage rate is directly affected by panel mix.
  • System Fastening Accuracy is +/- 1/16”.
  • Maximum Staple Fastening is 4 staples per second. Stapling can be performed on OSB and T-Ply sheathed panels.
  • Maximum Nail Fastening is 2 nails per second. Nailing can be performed on OSB panels.
  • Systems use a Digitally Controlled Proportional Regulator for dynamic control on fastening embedment.

System Capabilities

The system is designed and built with the following capabilities to provide the best operating experience for the operator and maximum system uptime and performance:

  • Panel Pre-Processor via customer XML files
  • Real-time imaging – The system will acquire panel images while in motion. This allows the system to adapt to the changing panel conditions including bowed or missing members.
  • Adaptive Restart – If the system faults during operation, the fastening of the panel can be resumed where it left off to ensure full panel fastening coverage minimizing rework.
  • Collision Avoidance – The system uses a custom-programmed proprietary collision avoidance logic to ensure both robots can utilize the same workspace ensuring maximum efficiency.
  • Misfire and Magazine Empty Detection
  • Fault Messaging – The system is provided with standard fault messaging.
  • The system can be controlled and operated via the Human Machine Interface or from the Operator Remote PB Stations.
